Nino Vaccarella and Lorenzo Bandini align this May 9th of 1965 at the start of the TARGA FLORIO with FERRARI 275 P2 3,3 liters, new war-horse of the mark of Modena. Lorenzo Bandini will take the wheel of P2 to the supply of the 3rd turn and will not have any more that to manage the advance accumulated by Vaccarella so that the crew gains the victory at the end of the 10th turn.

Nino Vaccarella et Lorenzo Bandini s'alignent ce 9 Mai 1965 au départ de la TARGA FLORIO avec la     Ferrari 275 P2 3,3 litres, nouveau cheval de bataille de la marque de Modène. Sur le sinueux circuit, la FERRARI sera imbattable, gagnant l'épreuve à la moyenne record de 109,562 km/h et laissant loin derrière une concurrence qui se fera surprendre dès les premiers tours par un Nino Vaccarella au sommet de son art et fort d'une parfaite connaissance du circuit sicilien. Lorenzo Bandini prendra le volant de la P2 au ravitaillement du 3ème tour et n'aura plus qu'à gérer l'avance accumulée par Vaccarella pour que l'équipage remporte la victoire à l'issue du 10ème tour.
